MARY "SYBIL" COLLINS

MARY “SYBIL” COLLINS, longtime resident of Moose Jaw passed away August 27, 2008 at the age of 95 years.  Born July 11, 1913 near Chamberlain, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband, Doug (Dudley), four brothers and three sisters. Sybil was a teacher and met her husband while teaching in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan.  She was very artistic and fond of handiwork and oil painting.  Her works of art are much appreciated. Sybil cherished her family and friends, and loved many gatherings over the years.  Sybil is survived by her children: Joan (Gary) Bauer, their daughter Laura Leah (Jeff) English and their son, Ethan – Calgary; Ron (Bernice) Collins, their children: Kimberly (Jason Meyers) – Williams Lake and Kevin (Alissa Derdahl) – Saskatoon; Allan (Leslie) Collins – Red Deer and their children: Jo-Ann (Chad) Francis – Williams Lake and Mark – Red Deer, one sister, Verna (Charlie) Stewart; three sisters-in-law: Mabel Norman, Margaret Norman, Loretta Norman.  The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's United Church Chapel, 60 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Reverend Dr. Donald Laing will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.  For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made to Extendicare Family Support Group, 1151 Coteau Street West, Moose Jaw, S6H 5G5. In living memory of Sybil, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
