SALLY DELAURIER

Sally Delaurier passed away peacefully June 25, 2008, after a battle with cancer.  Sally was born in St. Rose,Manitoba on September 7, 1942 to Joseph and Josephine Corbel.  They were very proud of their youngest daughter. Sally met her husband, Albert in 1958 at a local dance in Laurier, Manitoba.  Sally and Albert were married in Laurier on May 26, 1962.  In 1963 they moved to Moose Jaw and started a family.  Their oldest son Ronald was born in 1963, married Carla giving Sally and Albert three grandchildren, Sharon (Cam) Church, Nicole (Craig) Moore and Garret Delaurier.  Dan was born in 1964 giving Sally and Albert a grandson Aiden (Bobbi Pelletier).  Robert (Carol) was born in 1967 giving Sally and Albert two grandsons Catland and Mason. Craig and Nicole made Sally and Albert great-grandparents with their daughter Adalie and one on the way.   She is predeceased by her parents, brother Tony Corbel, sister Marg Friskie and is survived by her sister Irene Montsion.  Sally and Albert were seasoned travelers as they have been to more than eight different countries on three different continents. Sally loved experiencing different cultures. Her real love was her family.  Her door was always open for every one and she loved everyone who entered.  Sally loved to garden, decorate her home for the holidays, decorate cakes, sing along to her gospel music, sew, go garage sailing, and nurture others.  She was a devout Catholic who lived the love and faith she had in Jesus.  Sally was not only a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, godmother, she was a true friend.  A Celebration of Sally’s life will be held at St.Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, on Saturday June 28, 2008 at 10:00 am.  Father Job Addai will preside. A Prayer Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Friday evening at 7:00 pm.  Memorialization will take place at a later date.  In living memory of Sally, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
