MARY ROSE HERPERGER (Molnar)

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Herperger announces her sudden passing at the age of 92 years on Saturday, September 6, 2008.  Mary was born on May 16, 1916 in Stockholm, Sask. to parents Stephen Molnar and Rose Trohak.  She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Herperger, on December 9, 1973, daughter Vida, her brothers and sisters, Steve, Henry, Joe, John and Leslie Molnar, Anne Kalaman and Emma Hunchak, brothers-in-law Leslie and Ernest Herperger, Alex Kalaman, Frank Gal, sisters-in-law Helen Gal, Theresa Molnar, Lillian Molnar, and Delores Molnar.  She is survived by her children: Rosemary (Al) Hajdu, Catherine (Wayne) Robinson, Cecilia (Denis) Brisebois, Lawrence (Sharon), Eileen (Nelson) Faubert, Gloria (fiancée Gary Smith), and Gabe, 17 grandchildren and 16 ¾ great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Theresa Herperger and brother Edward Molnar, sisters-in-law Adele and Ruth Molnar, Anne (Edwin) Rogalski and brothers-in-law Alfred Herperger (Loretta) and Nick Hunchak, as well as many nieces and nephews.   Mom enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and cooking.  She especially enjoyed family get-togethers (which were many), going to the Casino, visiting with friends and family (she always presumed you needed lunch or a meal) and cheering for the Sask. Roughriders. Prayers and visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th at 7:00 p.m. at Little Flower Church, 420 College Ave., Regina. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Little Flower Church with Rev. Bill Mahoney officiating.  All are welcome to join us as we lay Mom to rest with our dad, Joseph J., in the Stockholm Catholic Cemetery on Saturday, September 13th at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to thank Dr. G. O’Byrne and the nurses and doctors at the Pasqua and General Hospitals and the paramedics of the Regina Ambulance Services for their excellent care and support during her stays.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Parish Cemetery Fund (Box 155, Stockholm, S0A 3Y0).

“Spread love everywhere you go, first of all in your home. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbour. Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness. Kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.”  Mother Teresa.

In living memory of Mary, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
