KENNY NIELSEN

Kenneth David Ness Nielsen, passed away September 28, 2008.  Kenny is predeceased by his father Mogens Nielsen.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Evelyn Nielsen, siblings, Hazel, Fredell, Eric and Marianne (Raymond), also his nieces and nephews.  Kenny was born in Nipawin, SK on February 22, 1956.  He became a resident of Valley View Centre at the age of 7.  He resided there until the time of his passing and absolutely loved his home!  Kenny’s wonderful friends and caregivers would like everyone to know how loving he was and how easy it was to love him in return.  The same day he passed away they felt sad and lonely without him.  The motto of VVC is Caring (for each other), Relationships (developed at VVC) and Dedication (to one another).  It requires a sense of humour to accomplish this and those involved in Kenny’s daily life stressed that a day spent with him never was lacking in humour.  A Visitation will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home on Saturday October 4, from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon.  The Funeral Service will be held at Valley View Centre at 1:30 pm. Pastor John Duerksen will officiate.  Following cremation, a private interment will take place in Nipawin at a later date.  Memorials to Valley View Centre, Box 1300, Moose Jaw, S6H 4R2, would be greatly appreciated by Kenny’s family.   In living memory of Kenny, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Joan Ferguson - Moose Jaw, SK:  I am so sorry to hear of Kenny's passing.  He certainly was a loving and loved person.  I am a retired nurse from VVC, and although I was never permanently booked on Kenny's home, I did from time-to-time work with him.  He'll certainly be missed.

Kelsey Segall - Saskatoon, SK: I had the pleasure of meeting Kenny as a summer student working at Valley View this past summer. His smile and laugh will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Kenny's family and friends at this time.
