Brenda Peterson - Moose Jaw, SK: I send my condolences for the lose of you treasure family member.  I volunteer at Extendicare and spent many mornings chatting with this fine man.  He was always so optimistic. He talked about his great life of farming and all the productive years he had.  He told stories about his trips. On day he told me that happiness comes from within.  I asked if he was happy ( at this point the cleaning lady came in and empty the garbage) he waited until she left and said to me sure I don't even have to take the garbage out.  He always showed his kindness and happiness to everyone.  He would always express his thanks when ever you had time to visit.  Your family was very bless to have such a fine member in your family.  I am sure you will have many hours of joy and comfort when you read his daily diaries. It was a great honour to have met this fine soul.  Brenda

Bertie & Bruce Good - Okotoks, AB: Aunt B, Dennis & Anne and Grandkids, We were very sad to learn of Uncle Jim's passing. He was such a joy. From our visits with Uncle we inevitably took home a smile and a feeling of peace. He took everything in his stride, never a complaint & his sense of humor was the best. Uncle will be missed and his stories will be remembered always.

Doug Campbell - Cochrane, AB: Dear Bertie, Glenys (Campbell McIntyre) kindly passed along the sad news. My mother, Fern Hagerty, would have been 92 years today. I thank you (and Jim) for the many beautiful, tranquil times we spent at your home in Belle Plaine, and the ongoing friendship you & Jim provided to our family.
