DELPHINE FLETCHER

The family of Delphine Fletcher sadly announces her passing at Moose Jaw Union Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the age of 95.  Delphine is predeceased by her husband Cecil, a son Earl, a brother and three sisters.  Left to cherish her memory is her loving family; daughters Dorothy (late Harry) Longworth – Moose Jaw, Shirley (Art) Evenson – Warman, Faye (Lloyd) Farwell – Assiniboia, Debbie (Barry) Letilley – Moose Jaw, sons Dale (Darlene) Fletcher – Regina, Ken (Jeannie) Fletcher – Melfort and Darrell (Janice) Fletcher – Saskatoon; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.  Delphine spent most of her life on the farm near Readlyn, Saskatchewan and most recently was living at the Mulberry Estates in Moose Jaw.  Delphine enjoyed cooking, camping, doing puzzles, playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren, and very much enjoyed the many get-togethers with family and friends.  We love you mom and you will be forever in our memories.  Delphine’s family extends their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Dr. Van Heerden, Dr. Tysdal, Dr. Ramadan, Dr. Majid and the staff of the Medicine Floor in the Moose Jaw Union Hospital for their care and compassion.  The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Minto United Church, 1036 – 7th Avenue N.W., Moose Jaw.  Della Ferguson will officiate.  Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday evening (Feb. 7); 7-9 p.m. at the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home, 106 Athabasca St. E. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Medicine Floor of the Moose Jaw Union Hospital, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3 or to a charity of one’s choice. In living memory of Delphine a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
