GEORGE GAMBLE

Mr. George Gamble, age 64, of Moose Jaw passed away on Wednesday June 9, 2010. George is predeceased by his father Elgin Gamble, three brothers Gordon “Butch”, Wayne “Bud” and Raymond, two sisters Dora McLauchlan and Irene “Liz” Vrooman. He is survived by his mother Eva, sons Aaron (Stacey) and Dwayne and their mother Myrna, brother Tom (Marla) Gamble as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to share in the memory of George’s life by attending a Come and Go Tea at W. J. Jones & Son Family Centre, 262 Athabasca St. E. on Saturday June 12, 2010 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Following Cremation, a family interment will be held at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Providence Place for the excellent care George received during his time there.  In living memory of George, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Clive Tolley - Moose Jaw, SK: To Tom and the remaining Gamble Family, I never knew where George got the nickname Hickey, but he was the king of our neighbourhood when I was a child.  He was always the centre of attention whether it was playing ball or getting into a little bit of trouble.  He meant alot to me then and fortunately I was able to pay him back in that I referred him to his job at the Cosmo Centre where he enjoyed many years as a likeable and capable building manager.  You will always be remembered in our family Hick!
