ARTHUR EDWARD HARRISON

Edward Harrison, a longtime resident of Martensville, SK, passed away on June 19, 2010 in Moose Jaw, SK. Edward was born in Shaunavon, SK on August 21, 1941 to George and Mabel Harrison.  He grew up and attended school in the area. He worked as a farmhand, then construction for Pioneer Grain before moving to Saskatoon and working in the parking department of the Midtown Plaza.  Here he met his wife, Donna and they were married in 1975.  They moved to Martensville in 1977 and raised their family there.  In 2004, Ed retired and they moved to Alberta where he spent his time looking after his grandson, Matthew.  In 2006, they moved to Moose Jaw. The loves of his life were his grandchildren and he wished he could have spent more time with them. Edward is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna, three children, Ronda, Rita and Ryan and three grandchildren, Mathew, Natalie and Caton.  He is also survived by his sister Irene Anderson, and brothers, Albert (Myrna) and Sidney Harrison, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. In accordance with Ed’s wishes, a private family viewing was held on June 21, 2010, and cremation followed.  In living memory of Edward, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home.
