They served together both in Halifax, NS and Gander, NL. and were married in Mawer, SK in 1943. She loved to watch the Riders, the Jays, the Leafs and curling on TV.  Vi lived her life to the fullest for her family. She leaves behind her husband of 66 years – Robert “Red”, their son, Laurie (Lin) of Edmonton AB, daughter Karen and her daughter Karlea (Lucas) of Moose Jaw and the joy of her life for the last 14 months her great-grandson Jakob, son Bob (Bonnie) and their children Melissa and Rachel of Regina.
